"The Fairfield County Sheriff's Office has provided the citizens's of Fairfield County the ARE YOU OK program for many years. The ARE YOU OK program is a service for any senior citizen who may not have someone to check on them everyday or may be homebound for any number of reasons. ARE YOU OK is a computer operated telephone monitoring system. A predesignated time is set to call a person everyday. If there is no answer, an alert is generated in the Communications Section of the Fairfield Sheriff's Office and a Deputy is immediately dispatched.

The ARE YOU OK program is credited with saving the lives of three Fairfield County residents. If you would like more information about the ARE YOU OK program please contact the Fairfield County Communications Section at 653-5223 or 1-800-808-5223."

The Fairfield County Sheriff's Department uses the CARE (Call Reassurance) phone system from Database Systems Corp. to provide its senior citizens with a telephone reassurance service. Fairfield County was a prior user of an older generation "Are You OK?"® system from Northland Innovation Corp. and opted to replace this system with our Care (Call Reassurance) phone system. Citizens can be called daily free of charge to ensure their well-being.
