CARE Feature Comparison versus Are You OK?®

Are you okay Database Systems Corp. (DSC) is the developer of the CARE (Call Reassurance) phone system. CARE is a telephone reassurance program designed to contact the elderly or residents who are living alone. These calls are to ensure their well-being.

During the late 80's, Northland Innovation developed an automatic senior calling program running on a DOS PC with a single modem. This was the forerunner to the more modern phone reassurance systems. This program is called "Are You OK?®".

Northland Innovation provided this basic system to many communities during the last century. However, using the older technology created problems for most organizations wishing to use more modern Windows PC technology.

Modern Computer Technology

DSC employs the latest in computer telephony hardware (from Dialogic) and software to provide organizations with a modern telephone reassurance phone system.

To assist organizations that are looking to upgrade or replace this older technology, DSC has prepared a comparison chart that demonstrates the difference between these two telephone reassurance systems.

Client Profile - Estes Park Police Department

"Estes Park is more than a place that people visit. It’s a community where an estimated 8,900 people live year round with amenities and services to enhance our life experience. From the youngest residents to our senior population, Estes Park is a thriving, active community."

Estes Park Police Department was an original Are You OK?® client and had upgraded its program to the latest Windows version of this software. However, because of numerous problems and the failure of Northland to correct these deficiencies, Estes Park cancelled its agreement with Northland and selected the CARE (Call Reassurance) phone system from Database Systems Corp. to provide its senior citizens with a phone reassurance service.
